Dr. Amir Ullah Khan holds the position of Deputy Director of the Bill & Mellinda Gates Foundation. He is also an Economist and is Associate Fellow at the India Development Foundation and Adjunct Professor of Economics, Business and Law at the Edith Cowan University. He studied Electronics and Communication Engineer at Osmania University and Rural Management at the Institute of Rural Management at Anand. He has a Ph.D. in Commerce and Business Studies from the Jamia Millia Central University at New Delhi. Amir has worked as Researcher for the Ministry of Finance, Government of India and the UNDP at Project LARGE (Legal Adjustments and Reforms for Globalising the Economy).
He was the Chief Guest for the Annual Day Program 2011 at SSE. He gave a talk on Growth and its challenges: What does this mean for the young Indian?”
