Workshop on “Amartya sen: The Guardian of Conscience of Economics” Conducted by: Dr. Vaidehi Daptardar
Dr. Vaidhehi Daptardar (Principal, AdarshCommmerceCollege, Badlapur) conducted a workshop on “Amartya Sen: The Guardian of Conscience of Economics”.
Dr. Daptardar has an academic experience of 26 years as a Professor, HOD, Researcher, and as a recognized guide for Ph. D. and M Phil students. She is a recipient of many prestigious awards. She also works with reputed associations and conducts workshops and seminars and has published several research papers.
Sen’s overview on causes of famines, his difference in view with western traditional theories, poverty indexation and inequality were explained. She used daily life examples to penetrate the concepts clearly. By the end of the seminar on Nobel laureate’s concepts and a basic introduction to the idea Indian mastermind, we ended off on a note to act as responsible citizens and mould a bright future based on welfare and social development.
Amatya Sen who is rightly described as the guardian of conscience of economics put forward a certain concept of welfare economics and it was astounding how Dr. Daptardar cleared all these concepts with ease. - Conference
