Teachers Day celebration
Teachers’ Day celebration at SSE
Though celebrated a day late because of exams, the students’ enthusiasm for teachers’ day was one to be reckoned with. The function started with the felicitation of the teachers and staff members with a bouquet and cards made by the students. Following this, the students of the music club sang ‘Aa chalkey tujhe’ and just when the mood sobered to the melody of this beautiful song, the Director and Deputy Director cut the cake on behalf of all the teachers and there was a celebratory cheer again.
Representatives of the three BSc batches and the MSc batches took two minutes each to thank the teachers for their constant efforts. Once the formalities were over, the student council decided to have an interactive session with the teachers. A few awkward moments, quirky quips and light jokes later we had teachers sing and dance whilst the newest members of this fraternity shared their experience. The day concluded with the Director addressing us about how, whether on the forefront or backstage, there is always team effort put in by the entire staff of SSE to always strive for better.
