Visit to RBI
Visit to RBI On 19th July 2010, a trip to RBI, Head-office
On 19th July 2010, a trip to RBI, Head-office was scheduled for the Third Year B. Sc. students of SSE. The trip was to fulfill the purpose of enlightening the students about the role and functioning of RBI in the development process of Indian Economy.
The students were given the privilege to be seated in the official conference room of the RBI. The conference was addressed by Mr. Rangrajan (DGM; RBI), Mr. Sinha , Mrs. Naina Dhruv and Mr. Rawat, followed by a presentation and an audio visual. The presentation was followed by a question answer session . We extend a hearty thanks to RBI, for all their support & co-operation.
The conference ended with a jingle portraying the working of the RBI as a guardian of financial institutions and its growing network of organized banking in the rural and urban India.
After the departure from the RBI head- quarters, the students advanced to the Clearing house, where they witnessed the processing of the out-station cheques as well as the cheques of the different banks in the city it-self.
The teachers who accompanied the students to Mumbai were Mrs. Pallavi Tak Rai, Mrs. Reshma Murali, Mr. Shantanu Chaudhury and Dr. Roudra Chakraborty.
RBI trip was a learning experience & a pleasant change for all the students. We look forward to more of such trips.
