Blood Donation Drive, 2021-2022
JEEVIT NADI
Since 2016, SSE has been actively working with Jivit Nadi Foundation. In line with this, ISR and Samarpan have been regularly organising river cleaning and river walks. Through this, the faculty members attempt to sensitize the students about the rich heritage of nature and rivers and also understand more about river pollution and sewage management.
E-Charcha
Regular E Charcha sessions were conducted wherein the importance of gender equality was discussed and how it can be improved at local and national levels. Solutions are struck fom discussions.
STOP Campaign
8th October 2020
Against the rape culture of India, this campaign aimed at volunteers expressing their discomfort by painting their hand's black and writing STOP by it.
Mansukhi Old Age Home
9th November 2020
A fundraising activity for the Old Age Home was carried out where Groceries for one month were bought and given to the old age home on Diwali. The event was called “Khushiyo Ki Diwali”.
Child Labour Campaign
2nd December 2020
Awareness campaign on Social Media on International Slavery day. Members of Samarpan club took pledge to end child slavery by reporting all the incidents on the child helpline numbers.
Each one, Plant one
7th December 2020
The virtual edition of the famous annual plantation drive organised by Samarpan club. Volunteers planted trees in their respective localities across the country. First of the kind activity successfully pulled off by the club.
Neeti: Policy Brief Competition

The Samarpan club successfully organised the first-ever policy making competition from SSE. Practising advocate of environmental laws Aniruddha Kulkarni and faculty of international economics Sushma Nayak adjudicated the finale. Winners were given the opportunity to intern at Prastaav: The policy hub.
Sanitary Bags Disposal Awareness

Sanitary Bags are a necessity, but they are not easily disposable. These industrially manufactured sanitary bags requires about 500-800 years to decompose, which causes a considerable amount of pollution.'Samarpan', in collaboration with 'Seva Sahyog' made 'Disposable Sanitary Bags' which are eco-friendly and serve the purpose. 30+ students took part in the activity and made 700+ newspaper sanitary disposable bags in 1.5 hours.
Sangli Flood Relief Measures
B.Sc. students, with the support of faculty and staff of SSE, successfully gathered supplies in enormous numbers and helped victims and inhabitants of Sangli with flood relief during floods due to heavy rains in August 2019. SSE was able to collect materials worth about Rs.25,000, including food items (biscuits, dry snacks, milk powder, etc.), first aid materials (cotton, gauze, pain reliever, anti-septics), sanitary napkins, toiletries, towel and cleaning cloths, reusable cloths, and bedsheets.
