This year again, many of the companies which visited for campus recruitment have been hiring from SSE for the past few years. New recruiters are CPC Analytics, Zocdoc and Merit Group UK. The average package offered to BSc and MSc graduates has increased this year.
Placements 2014-15
Many of the companies which visited for campus recruitment have been hiring from SSE for the past few years. New recruiters included Association of Indian Forging Industries, TMed Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Public Affairs Centre, and Dexter Consulting.
Placements 2013-14
The first batch of MSc. Economics graduated in 2013. Recruiters looking for Masters students visited the campus for the first time, First Energy Ltd. Ormax Media Ltd, Bristlecone, IIHS and Zephyr Financial Publishers Pvt. Ltd. Some of these also hired Bachelors students. Past recruiters returned to SSE for campus recruitment.

Placements Overview
The Placement Cell, guided by a set of rules and principles strives to maintain warm relation with firms. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting firms for pre-placement talks on campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end are responsibilities that the Placement Cell endeavors to carry out successfully.
The Placement Cell at Symbiosis School of Economics works in close coordination with its faculty advisor and provides a platform for students seeking recruitment to interact with possible recruiters on the campus.
Final Placements at SSE is considered to be an important dimension of educational attainment and therefore is accorded high priority. The Director and a team of highly-qualified senior faculty oversee the implementation of the placement related work agenda.
Over the last three years, in particular, SSE has consciously developed, nurtured and forged long-lasting collaborations and relationships with a number of research institutes, corporate firms and NGOs and development agencies. These organizations have offered internships and final placements to our students. It is a conscious effort on the part of SSE to expand the network of association, so as to reflect synergies between the academic training and research/industry needs.
Placement Cell Activities
The Placement Cell conducts a number of activities to help students prepare for their careers after graduation. Each final year BSc and MSc student attend a career counseling session to help them understand and make choices from the various opportunities available. Students are encouraged to attend follow-up counseling sessions to help their decision-making process. The Placement Cell arranges workshops on other important aspects of preparing for placements like CV writing, Aptitude Tests, Mock interviews & Group discussions, Grooming and Etiquette, speaking skills & body language, an impact of current affairs on business & economy etc.
